Definition:

Regenerative medicine is the practise of replacing or regenerating human cells, tissue or organs, to restore or establish normal function.

SCS is contributing to this exciting new field by providing tools, reagents and cells for the discovery of regenerative medicines or identification of cells for transplantation.

Our reagents and technologies facilitate discovery of medicines that work on the biology of the stem cells rather than on the physiology of the products of the stem cells.

As pharmas set up their regenerative medicine biotec ventures, many are focusing on screening existing medicines and discovering new ones which will intrinsically stimulate repair or reverse the damage in tissues, in a controlled way, as well as identifying cells that are safe for transplantation.
